Double Strollers

Double strollers are the perfect stroller choice for parents of twins or for those with two small children who are close in age. Parents can select from lightweight, traditional and jogging styles.

Double strollers are available in two layouts side-by-side and front-to-back also known as tandem. Tandem strollers are slimmer, which makes them easier to turn and maneuver. However, if the seats face different directions, children may fight over who gets to sit in each seat. Side-by-side models allow children to interact with one another, but may be difficult to maneuver through does and navigate in stores.

While some double strollers are designed for two children who are close in age, some are specifically designed for carrying twins. A true twin stroller will have two seats that fully recline and/or will have the option to attach to infant car seats. A double stroller that is not specifically for twins will accommodate one infant and one older child. Side-by-side double strollers are often suitable for twins as well as a baby and an older sibling.

Since these strollers are designed to hold more than one child, they are heavier, bulkier and more challenging to maneuver than single strollers are.
